I have long loved the 1930s flower quilt blocks - the baskets, the bouquets. Lavender & Twine came from playing with one of my favourites, the Bridal Bouquet or Nosegay block, and making it my own. I love the scrappy petals held together by single colour squares and stems!

Lady Bird Johnson once said, “Where flowers bloom, so does hope.” I think this must be true of patchwork flowers too - the working with our hands, the sense of progress, the slowly growing beauty. It’s my hope that this quilt brings hope and joy to your home also.

Acrylic Template Set:

Acrylic Templates are used for cutting the fabric into the right shape, with the right seam allowance. They're clear, sea green in colour which makes them easy to find among your things, and easy to see through so that you can get the fabric design in just the right spot. My acrylic templates are 3mm thick and include a 3/8" seam allowance and fabric marking holes. Don't forget to peel the protective plastic film off before use!
